Patricia J. Boyle is the current vice president and a past president of the California Writers Club Tri-Valley Branch. dcc49515-8787-493c-a794-3aba47abc203_1_105_cHer short stories and poems have been published in several anthologies and on Women on Writing’s website. In the nonfiction genre, she writes press releases for the Livermore-Amador Symphony concerts that appear in Livermore’s The Independent and the Pleasanton Weekly newspaper.

She was born and raised in upstate New York. She moved to California in 1981 by way of Vermont and Virginia. With a BS in math and earth science education from Cornell and an MS in atmospheric science from SUNY at Albany, she’s spent many years working in the scientific field. She taught math and science to students in first grade through college, spending many of those happy years with the Livermore School District, and carried out meteorological research for ten years at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. She is a co-author of several articles published in scientific journals.

Patricia’s fascination with the natural world and human nature influences her writing. She has two grown children and lives in Livermore with her husband, James, and their Welsh corgi, Truffles.
