Patricia J. Boyle is an award-winning writer and past California Writers Club Tri-Valley Branch president.
She is the author of a poetry chapbook, response, and a young adult fantasy novel, A Traitor in the Realm. Her short stories and poems have been published in several anthologies and on Women on Writing’s website.
She was born and raised in upstate New York. She moved to California in 1981 by way of Vermont and Virginia. With a BS in math and earth science education from Cornell and an MS in atmospheric science from SUNY at Albany, she spent many years working in the scientific field. She taught math and science to students in first grade through college, many of those happy years in the Livermore School District, and carried out meteorological research for ten years at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey. She is a co-author of several articles published in scientific journals.
Patricia’s fascination with the natural world and human nature influences her writing. She has two grown children and lives in the San Francisco East Bay area with her husband and their Welsh corgi.
